History of SAAU Boys Basketball

SAAU Boys Basketball began in earnest in 1980 when the SAAA hosted the first AAU National Championship in Metairie. Since that time SAAU teams have brought home over 20 AAU National Championships (highlighted in tab)

SAAU Boys Basketball members are civic-minded folks who helped their community by fostering a positive environment in which they helped others strive and achieve excellence. SAAU members continue to excel to this day.

SAAU Boys Basketball teams have achieved success both locally, statewide and nationally. While many programs stayed for decades, some were only around for a few years years, however all made an impact & helped others.
